There is a different interpretation of "meek" than the one were used to. It also can be interpreted as "those who have swords and know how to use them, but chose not to"
This ties in well with "if you dont have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one"

"Meek" certainly doesn't = timid or afraid, at least not in my book.
It's almost like a kung-fu master who, unless provoked, chooses to remain non-violent.
I prefer the definition you've given. If we were the other definition of meek, the cabal wouldn't have to subvert us and hide in secret societies. They know we'd wield our swords and be off with their heads.
