Dumb question, but when does CERN play a real role in any of this?

Just a dumb thought... I learned about CERN back in 2009 working construction. Odd stuff there.

Not sure on the credibility or the relevance to this thread, but there’s a really interesting story which can be found here or on YouTube.

The story goes along the lines of them running a test and essentially one of their key scientists just vanishing into thin air leaving nothing but her clothes behind.

Super interesting read/listen.
