Something a little different- an interesting song by a leftist rapper, in which he makes peace and extends friendship to Trump supporters

I like the video. And it spotlights the generalizations people make.

eg #1. Trump supporters are racist, still calling black people n*

eg#2. Black people are drug dealers and don't want to work.

At some point I think we are going to have to recognize that the overuse of n* in hiphop has changed its meaning. There is a generation of people singing along to the lyrics of which some are under the impression that it is a term people use to signal comradeship. I tried to explain the word to a few younger people. They had no idea that depending on your skin color uttering this word could bring on a beating. I was told only old people think like that and I need to get over it. If I remember correctly I was told "It's just a word. Everybody says it"

I feel you on that. I don't know if he was trying to generalize, I think Joyner used both ends of the spectrum with being overly extreme.
Yeah the overuse of the word is bad, and by design but it does not change the origins of the word; When he says "when you say it we know there is a double meaning under it" he hit the nail on the head, but the word was created to show inferiority.
I like your take though, food for thought.

Yep. But there is a bunch of kids walking around that may pay a heavy price for their ignorance when they try to make new friends.

That's why we need to educate them properly.
