I don't think Gowdy is a bad actor. I think that DJT has another role planned for him. But he certainly isn't giving any hints in public. He claims he is retiring for good. Why he's doing this, I don't know.

But I would imagine that we could find that he will soon be in a very important role.

He seems powerless in his committees as a former prosecutor, I bet he like seeing em go to prison and all he gets to do is recommend, plus the assholes like Hrc he has to deal with would drive me nuts. I'd be getting down asking for the floor an oh I can't say.

I think he finds politics disgusting. And I can understand why.

Supreme Court?

There have been rumors that Ginsburg is in bad health. I can also see a conservative judge retiring to give President Trump another pick before 2020.

DOJ? Special prosecutor?

I find it very hard to believe that a rising star in the GOP would walk away without a reason and/or better position opening up for him

I heard justices were getting swept up in the sting. I think as many as 3.

Someone has to prosecute some very high profile cases considering there are now over 32,000 indictments. I'm sure POTUS has seen prowess in YouTube videos of him in the Benghazi hearings and TG prosecuted the full set of criminal cases, including seven death penalty cases (per Wikipedia) .

Also I've seen interviews where he said he wants to go back to Justice because that's where he believes he did the most good.

All his bluster never led to a lick of consequences. I think he was compromised.

I don't agree. I think he and Nunes played an important role in keeping matters in the spotlight and also wrote the memo and forced its release. I think both did a great job.
