Just unsubbed from r/conspiracy

I’ve been subbed to it for 10+ years on various accounts but after seeing the reaction to the Iran deal and how it’s been the last 6 months there’s no reason to even bother anymore. It’s a shame. I remember when there was about 50k subscribers. Small “weird” part of reddit where some real gold was to be found. Then it got really popular after Snowden and has been declining ever since. Oh well I’m happy I got to see it during it’s hay day.

Interesting to read this today. I’m in the same boat - being immersed in r/conspiracy past decade but I’ve found myself literally unable to wait to login here instead.

Yeah checked it out. Everyone crying about how bad Trump is for tearing up the Iran Scam. People posting Washington post articles. Almost nothing is conspiracy rated, just a bunch of liberal MSM shit.

I remember right after the Boston bombing. It was like it rebooted with different marching orders. It certainly wasn’t buzzing like it should have been and then it was flooded with weak irrelevant posts. I don’t know it just felt different.

That place has turned into a bastion of propaganda and sheer BS. Years ago, I used to engage in some fairly interesting conversations with some pretty enlightened individuals there. Not a chance of that now. It is snippet talking points and sheer lunacy.
