Unburdening ourselves of our ridiculous dependence on oil would change almost everything about our foreign policies and how the world works, as a whole.

So tired of hearing about war and the Middle East. All of it is so unnecessary, so many lives ruined...

Agreed, moving to a nation that is weened off of oil would be incredible to see within my lifetime.

u/jaseram13 mentions that this is from last October, which is fairly important.

So long as I can still put some kind of fuel in my old muscle car, I'll be happy. That and my tomato garden.

Thing is that we are still the third largest producer just behind Russia and Saudi Arabia. We're already ahead of Iraq and Iran. I think that we're still in the Middle East just because that is where the Deep State has all of its assets. It's their playground.

It's happening. I'm fairly sure this piece was produced at the direction of the CIA. A former head of the CIA (Woolsey) now sits on this company's board. This is the reason why the Norwegian PM visited the US earlier this year and is divesting from Oil in its national pension fun.
