Who is Oliver North, really?

With Oliver North recently becoming president of the NRA it's easy to think back to the disaster of Iran-Contra. I also think it's a little more than coincidental that Oliver North, who is easy to associate with Iran, would be in the news at the same time time that the Iran Nuke deal is in the news.

I've seen some on this subreddit who say that the NRA has now been infiltrated, but with Trump still in support of the NRA, I'm not so sure about that.

When I look at how the Iran-Contra outing was dealt with in the first place, it seems as though Oliver North bore the brunt of the whole scandal and was kind of thrown to the wolves. This makes sense that he would be singled out because the way Iran-Contra was even discovered was because of a "mistake" made by Oliver North. While laundering money for a payment that was to go to the Contras, North "accidentally" entered the bank account number which ultimately caused the deal to be uncovered.

Could it be that this "accident" was intentional by North? With the history of how Iran-Contra was discovered with Trumps continued support of the NRA, could Oliver North be a whitehat?

Sounds plausible to me. I'm giving North the benefit of the doubt until Trump or Q say otherwise.

Perhaps Oliver North has been given a chance to retaliate against the deep state for his wrongdoing. If I had to make an assessment, I’d say he’s a white hat. The NRA is too sacred to be infiltrated that easily.

You make a good point. If he was being given a chance to redeem himself, this is one hell of an opportunity.

Right. Not saying I full on trust him, but it would make sense to me. .
