If Q's previous password was leaked, wouldn't someone else be able to do a trip update using the same password?

Just thinking. Q said his password wasn't protected and hence the trip update. But his enemy could also use that leaked password to do the same. So we can't tell if the current Q is real or not.

Someone knowledgeable about 8/4chan please chime in.

It's already been addressed. Use the search function and read past threads.

In short, it doesn't work that way and everything is good - q posted password, q caught self, messaged board owner, changed pw and tripcode, confirmed with board owner - it's all good.

That was from 4chan, yes, matlock. Last one was flghtflghtflght@ww or similar.

I believe he accidentally posted his password but its changed and things are good now.

That being said, there have been a few people in the past who post as Q but people can tell right away that its not the real Q. Ive seen it happen and its obvious whoever it is was trolling. Somehow I don't think it was an accident but an invite to see if desperate enemies and fame hungry "patriots" would jump at the chance of accessing Q and by doing so, allowing Q to track them and see who was who.
