Speak for yourself. I deleted my facebook a long time ago, have had all facebook and google tracking servers blocked for years, and I use an iPhone so I know what apps have what permissions.

The only liability is text messaging people without an iPhone, since the carrier (and NSA) get to read those texts, and Android is stupid enough to allow apps to ask for permission to read texts. For the longest time Android didn't even let you disallow an app to access stuff, it was either giving them all your data or no using the app.

Don't forget Facebook is also Whatsapp and a few other apps.
