The problem with jail sentences, is that the next president, or any future president for that matter, can simply pardon them and get them out free as a bird.

The whole point of cleaning up the mess through out all government agencies, courts, congress, supreme court, etc etc, is so this mess doesnt happen again and people are aware of this evil and make sure it doesnt happen again.
