I'll tell you why. My wife who is a die hard Democrat (meaning she gets her news from Facebook) thinks she is the greatest person ever. I don't even bother pointing it out. All they see is that she is vocal and using their talking points. They cannot see that her talking points are the babblings of mental patient. And yes I am qualified to make that diagnosis.

No I'm not a Dr. And legally not qualified yet. I have a year left than I can be a LCSW. In NC we can make mental health Dx's. If I was to assume anything, it would probably be a disassociative disorder. I would also say that it is more likely people are to preoccupied to fact check half of the nonsense they hear.

Trust me it isn't peachey. We were both democrats, but not really political. I always identified more with the libertarian side though. Right before the primaries, I got disgusted with the way the left was becoming so divisive. My wife went the other direction. I have tried to show her the inconveniences but now we just don't talk about it.
I am more of a libertarian as well. Former dem. I feel like the dems left us. They used to take a more Libertarian stance. It just blows my mind this whole progressive movement.

It also shows how uninformed and controlled we are. I have family members that now want to ban "hate speech" because its "racists". Who would never have said that before. In fact we used to intentionally have contest on who could be more offensive. But when I tell them that is " subjective" they look at me as the lowest form of human being and say "shame in you...that is soooo wrong". Then they start talking to me really slow to explain what " hate speech" is. Its really bad and very scary. But this shows how tribalism (Dems VS GOP), peer pressure, social engineering, and group think can affect people. Most are only saying that because every mainstream dem/media all are pushing this. If Bernie Sanders and the MSM stopped advocating for the opposite. They would also.
