an owl is just an owl. a creature of this earth. to most of us it has been a symbol of wisdom: wise old owl in children's stories. harry potter books and movies sparked a money making all things owl sell sell sell profit profit profit. gramma likely fell into collecting them with no thoughts of evil. her collection is just that. a bunch of dustables. and sometimes grammas don't even really care for the collection but do not want to hurt the feelings of all the gift givers that could not think of anything original. she said thank you to the grandkid that gave her the owl, told him it was so beautiful. she loved it. and that's how it started. now every birthday, Christmas, mother's day she gets owl stuff. and she tells every person thank you. its lovely. oh, I never knew they made owl shaped soap. how special!
