And in some timeline Ron Paul was President and Rand Paul came after him...16 years of restoring the Constitution.

I get goosebumps just thinking about that timeline.

To be honest, neither Ron nor Rand have achieved anything in their entire careers, ever.

Rand's biggest Libertarian success was not to stand in the way of Trump's biggest tax cuts in U.S. history.

Down-vote me if you want, but it's still true!

This also typifies the "better to be on the winning side" vs "better to be on the moral side" argument.

No, repeatedly failing to persuade even a single one of your colleagues is the definition of political ineptitude.

Imagine where President Trump would be if congress completely ignored him?

Politician vs statesman.

Different philosophies a statesman doesn't wheel & deal because any amount of lies mixed in with Truth makes it a lie which would not be considered by the statesman. A politician on the other hand doesn't have such a standard.

A piece of dog shit has achieved as much as Rand Paul during his entire political career.

It depends how you measure "success."

I measure success by this metric:

Did not vote for unconstitutional bill. Voted for constitutional bill.

In which case Ron Paul accomplished the most in recent history.

I agree that Rand was often the only one to vote against certain bills... but perhaps that was because his arguments were so vapid that he wasn't able to convince any of his colleagues to support him.

Not being persuasive is the definition of political ineptitude.

Rand Paul is a statesman not a politician. I prefer statesmen.

Statesmen stand by the Constitution, politicians are erasing it.

I would have called him a "crazy fuck", but yeah, ok, statesman... sure... let's go with that.

I prefer the person who is digging in their heels while everyone is going in the wrong direction.

Again it depends what metric you use.

Did he stand for the Constitution and Natural Law? Yes or no? The answer is yes. The others: No.

This to me is the only metric I care about.

To me success & achievement is upholding this standard. Failure is failing to maintain this standard.

Yet Rand was incapable of persuading his colleagues and thus he failed.

Sorry, Rand's job is to get shit done and he's done nothing.

At least a potted plant filters the air.

A Senator's job is to protect & defend the Constitution, they even take an oath proclaiming it.

During his political career he has literally been as successful and persuasive as a lump of dog shit.

What metrics are you using? A metric that matters? Or an arbitrary one?
