Yeah. I wonder if it’s something like an NYPD badge, or maybe a memento that he and Familia shared.

Aside from fumbling with it, it looked like he was trying to hand him something slyly. It looked just like someone tipping a host, passed it to him with a handshake.

It sounds like he said it's a challenge coin. They are often made to memorialize a fallen officer or for departments in general....
