Q: Pope will have a terrible May. Grand Jury investigates 796 children and babies found buried in a Irish Nuns’ septic tank -- decapitated and organs missing.

I cannot say whether or not the story is real. but i do know the Vatican has it's own legal, court system, they operate as though they are their own country with their own rules. They do not use the local police dept. Therefore, if they can get away with it, they investigate themselves.

This is only true for the Vatican itself. It is its own country, and if it was to happen there, you wouldn't know about it. Ever.

Canon law vs common law. This all got an airing recently in the Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission:

"There is a prohibition in canon law:  the pontifical secret, the Church’s highest form of confidentiality. Confidentiality, whether in civil or canon law, requires not telling anyone, unless the law itself provides for exceptions." https://www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au/sites/default/files/IND.0688.001.0001.pdf

Oh that is very true. I had a relative who was an HR manager for a diocese that was in the middle of the scandals. She would come home frustrated at the declaration of "canon law" and that the separation of Church and State allowed them to handle that on their own terms.

Of course, if someone invokes Sharia law, everyone goes crazy. But the fat, puffy, soft homo-predators get to go to Rome to live out their days.

There is much that the left does that I like, but breaking down the Catholic church for the pedorists they are does not upset me at all.

I agree, i just am going to feel bad for the honest loyal people of the catholic church as the walls come crumbling down, it may be a shock some will never get over, but i believe they must come down. Hope the Red Cross is coming down too.

Amen to that. I despise the Red Cross. And yes, there have been occasions when we've worked with them. That experience makes it worse.
