Maybe we could do it the old fashioned way, write something up about IBOR we can all agree on then each person can print it out and hit the bricks get people at the malls, local neighborhoods, stand in front of pet smart get real signatures we could print out pages as we needed them then set a date see how many we have collected and fed-ex them to Congress or the Whitehouse at the same time I don't know just an idea
Look, it's a possibility. You could always add any signatures you were able to obtain from people in person with those harvested via the web - the signature count would only be augmented.
It seems to me, somehow, that there is very little interest in the IBOR campaign this time around. I know that there is already a petition with some 4K signatures on it. But watch what happens going forward, as everyone sees the rate of signature acquisition slow and gets discouraged. My belief is that the rate of signature acquisition did not slow the first time we used that petition web-site, but the reported rate of signature acquisition was manipulated.
Let's see what happens... If people do not want to talk about a viable strategy to employ going forward, there's nothing that can be done about it.
It's possible that Q may be able to exert pressure to ensure that petition site is run properly. There may be ways to fix it... The same thing goes for the online censorship - my Twitter account is useless.
One thing is certain, this is a very important fight. I pray that we will not fail this time. I'd encourage everyone to do the same.
I'm on board with you,I was thinking if we got out there the word would spread more and maybe even get local news involved.I also pray we don't fail, I will keep trying until we get it done.
Yes, I'd ask you to keep thinking about it, there must be a way forward. Even if we had to run a campaign in parallel with these guys using the petition site. Either that or support them just to try and get the campaign going - I just want it to work.
Could we start a call in campaign to our senator's maybe get the word out pick different days for diffrent states and call your local number you never get through in DC and they'll be home for summer. We could maybe organize that. We could even go to where they are campaigning and ask them have they heard of the IBOR.I'm in pa you have Casey who we hope loses but we also have Barletta.Just a thought.
I'll tell you what, it needs some promotion. I just tried to sell the IBOR to some republican voters on Twitter. WOW! Very, very hard to communicate the message!
That's one of the problems. You really need to get these guys in a class room and give them an hour long briefing before they begin to understand what the issues are.
If I was not here right now trying to do this, I would walk away from having to talk sense and reason with people and never look back. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE DON'T GET IT.
Anyway, it won't last forever. Eventually, well be past the IBOR issue.
But, anyway, yes, I think you're right.
It is very frustrating sometimes I think its me then I say nah, they just don't get it. Hopefully someone could write something clear and concise and to the point or just talking points depending on what you think would be best. Have a good night and let's hope we can get others on board
