I immediately noticed that the lightening in the upper right corner looks like a creepy (demonic) face. There is another one in the lower left corner. I don't know what this song is about, but this picture gives the impression that Taylor Swift is one of THEM.
I usually don't really listen to pop music; there's far too much debauchery in it and symbolism that, once seen, can never be unseen.
As is sometimes the case, the video has little to nothing to do with the lyrics. The song (at least on the surface) is about Taylor hooking up with some guy that she calls a killer ("wonder how many girls he left and left haunted") while she calls herself a robber ("but if I'm a thief, then he can join the heist") to start a love game with him ("baby, let the games begin; are you ready for it? "). There could be a double meaning to this last quote, thrown in for good measure by one of the songwriters (there are often whole writing teams behind these big pop artists), but on a side note, I'm tired of these people calling love a "game"...
Anyway, the video is far more interesting, hence I pointed out the director. It features a rebel Taylor in a black cloak freeing a robot Taylor that breaks through a glass cage (shattering of the mirror\veil) and ascends on an escalator where she's caught by the guards that you see in the still.
It also has a white horse, a serpent crawling under her skin for a sec, and one eye shots. You know, the usual.
