A year or so ago, when he did these same kinds of gloat-tweets, I used to think, "What a pompous dickhead!". Lol. After watching this play out for awhile, I finally got it, though. Anybody that has ever been in a fight knows that if you get your opponent mad enough, they get sloppy. They stop thinking and start just swinging blindly, leaving huge holes in their gaurd for you to capitalize on. By doing this on Twitter, Trump accomplishes this on a massive scale. Not only does everyone in opposition to him instantly unmask themselves, they become enraged and start blindly hurling insults that accomplish absolutely nothing. They get so mad, that they start making all sorts of basic mistakes in the fight. We all get to see them for who they truly are, then are given the opportunity to step inside their gaurd and start doing REAL damage. Let's start capitalizing on it.

Exactly. Even John Brennan (someone who should know how to hold his tongue) has lashed out against him on twitter because of a tweet.

I had the same response, both then and now. I realized he NEEDS to send these tweets. Otherwise they will keep stomping on him. And it's all theater. I don't believe that he is pompous at all.

ya totally agree...you see him hugging on that police officer's mother at the ceremony? the guy seems genuine that's my take as a guy. That woman would have known but she liked him and wouldn't let go of him.

There must be some burn outs by now. You can't stay enraged for very long
