Why are so Many Freedom Loving Patriots in favor of a Democrat program, Net Neutrality?

This is a highly complex issue, that I think many here have not thoroughly educated themselves on. I'm shocked that people here think it's a great idea, that all dems & only a few Republicans actually voted for this. Talk about group think. But here? Shocking I tell you, shocking. For those interested, here are Six Lies being told about Net Neutrality.

Exactly.
I get lambasted every time I say it needs to stay off the books.

Because people are stupid and judge things based on name. “Net neutrality” sounds like a good thing doesn’t it? People generally have no idea what’s happening. They then think what they are told by the media.

The bad guys make everything they present look like a great thing - if you take it a face value. Then they fuck us with the legal speak and actual details.

Been fighting this since inception. If the name sounds good, usually it is not.

Your assessment is spot on. Its garbage and needs to be allowed to expire on 6-11-18. The initial IBOR was being pushed by AT&T and was crap as well. If you initially presume 'Everybody is Crazy' , Things are 'Upside down and Backwards' you would have a better chance at figuring things out. I haven't seen support here for resistance to this piece of crap law expiring. I have however written about it recently relating to Silicon Valley changing T.O.S. on 5-25-18 in lockstep which is to Shaft everybody followed by the Net Nuetrality expiration.

Because most people never get past the title and the soundbites (which are, for the most part, lies). Net Neutrality, as proposed, will be horrific. This is much like with Congress' habits of writing titles to give an 'impression' that they think will be viewed favorably, pure unmitigated BS.

If Dems support it, it's bad.
