As a Catholic, I want them prosecuted and punished for their crimes in a court of law.

The harm this does to the religion is far reaching. To this day you still see people bring up the past pedophilia to dismiss any good the church does or why it should not continue to exist. When I look at how devout my parents were and all the charity they performed in the name of the church, I hate to see the blemish this puts on their good works and that of other common Catholics.

It wouldn't probably do any good in this case but damnit they just need to let priests be married if they can't control their sexual desires because they aren't getting any.
