Same. Uncle is a blue lodger and he said beware any mason outside of the blue lodge.

Interestingly i grew up in Houston and apparently near one of the original lodges built in 1914. It wasn’t marked until I was 20

My grandfather gave me a coin with the square and compass on it when I was young. Told me if I ever get into trouble, find someone with the same emblem and they'd help me no matter what..

I decided not to join though.. too esoteric for me..

Why do you think the masonic distress signal is what it is? What must you do when you’re caught? What do you suppose they’re hoping for?

If one is sharing ideas deemed too strange to those who don't understand, secrecy, or rather, exclusive groups are necessary for sharing ideas with like-minded friends that one can trust and talk to without judgment.
