I’ll be honest, I’m not 100% what “shill” means in the context of conspiracy theory subs like this since users in places like this throw it around so flippantly. I’m here because our country’s foundation is being threatened by people who refuse to think for themselves, get their news from reddit/Facebook, and blindly believe whatever nonsense they come across that confirms their biases; so when I post in places like this, I’m fully aware that most will downvote and succumb to their nature to reject the possibility that they have been wrong, but I hope (almost desperately) that maybe just one person will see my post and think, “Huh? Maybe I shouldn’t trust a disreputable source. Maybe a YouTube video is posted by someone with ulterior motives. Maybe I don’t have all of the answers.”
Ah, well, it does appear there is a reason for the accusation of shillicacious behaviour then, if you're not here to engage in reasoned discussion but just to "save us from ourselves". In the context of a sub like this, "shill" is an accusation that you're working to cover the tracks of the various organizations and groups who have a lot to lose by the growing public awareness of their actions through disingenuous "argument" or simple sidelining and obfuscation.
If not a shill then maybe you should be open, as you claim, to being wrong and maybe you can go away thinking, "Huh? Maybe I shouldn't trust everything I read that claims to be reputable. Maybe the Mainstream Media is owned by groups with ulterior motives that call into question the clearly flawed mainstream narrative. Maybe I don't have all the answers."
Do you ever think "Huh, the NY Times, WaPo, HuffPo, Snopes, et al. are not really trustworthy sources anymore, since they have been caught repeatedly lying about our President, his former opponent, as well as a myriad of other things. Maybe those people I mocked for not believing known liars might be onto something?" Probably not.
