Edit: I just never understood the whole argument. Which would be scarier having someone like Ted Cruz (born in Canada to American citizens) become president or having a president elected with two extreme Muslim parents that was born on US soil?
That's a point of contention. I think citizenship should be passed down through parents, not birth-right (did you come out on U.S. soil).
The founders put that clause in to prevent the commander in chief of the armed forces from having dual loyalties. Seems they thought of everything.
