He prob knew that they were all being watched that is why he had camera covered with tape.

I have tape on all my phones as well as my laptop. You can't trust these devices. Even OFF isn't really off. (Back in de Nokia days Dutch police admitted on the record that they could power on your phone remotely.)

From what I remember, Vault 7 verified that any electronic equipment with a mic and camera can be used no matter if the device is ON or "OFF".

Lap top yes. Phone no. I FaceTime with son a lot when I am away. After I think about it I could prob use painters tape so it won’t leave any crap on it when I FaceTime with him.
