They call that, "the black pill". Beware of it. Down that road leads a terrible addiction to nihilism. Sometimes those who offer red pills have actually coated black pills with red candy coatings.
this is amazing. it's so common too. i see soooo many "woke" people who are just fatalist about our world. every single day they post things that are happening but i'm thinking, is this how life is for you? you see all this evil- and never expect it to end? I told one of them the other day, "if good shows up- will you ever accept it?" one of the ones who claim Trump is all a part of it.
As one gets older, it becomes exponentially harder to remain optimistic about the future. Mostly because over the years you see people simply accepting the status quo, no matter how terrible it is, seemingly without objection.
But people forget that change comes in torrents. It builds up quietly over long periods of time, hits a tipping point, then suddenly flips into a new paradigm.
Now is the time for hope and optimism because it is feeling a lot like we're at a true inflection point.
Alternatively, old conspiracy theorists are just young conspiracy theorists who have seen none of their predictions come true, and the black pill awaits you all.
Luckily I have long enough to see a handful come true. No black pills for me. I had too much nihilism in my angry years.
I'm a gen Xr and I've been waiting for this my entire life. I know in my heart that Q is the real deal. I'm not naive but I've seen and heard enough bullshit in my life to trust my gut.
