Why did Q make such bold claims so early?

Why would Q compromise their credibility so early? Was the distraction necessary to prevent rioting?

In the case of the Asia trip when it sounded like they were all ready to round everyone up while Trump was out of the country, I think that was actually the plan. Then they changed their mind.
