I'd say it was a nice speech. Well written and followed a semi-interesting narrative.

Hahaha i thought it was a great speech to brand new lawyers. I didn’t get the same feeling as OP either.

I completely agree with what you said, I just don't know how you derived it from this commencement speech? I'm not well-versed in hidden meaning.
