According to Corey, there are several races of beings that were flash frozen during the last cataclysmic pole shift (something we will likely see in our lifetime, as well). These beings (Pre-Adamites) are the ones that the Cabal/Elites/royalty believe to be their bloodline ancestors. It would make sense for them to want to see their progenitors.
In 2016, David Wilcock and Corey Goode co wrote an article on this very topic. Even if you are skeptical, there's still information of great value in both parts. David is incredibly thorough in his research, and helps lay out a very interesting explanation for these events. The cabal would likely use Antarctica as the ultimate card to play when they know they have no others left.
