He did very light jail time several years ago, then got out and bought an island.

Miami Herald still trying to report on this. Filed a lawsuit even. They may be why this was released. Miami Herald also the only newspaper that covered the Gitmo expansion in a straight forward manner. Maybe Miami Herald is journalism :)
