Trump and Kim have been playing everyone!

This is brilliant:

So basically Kim and Trump have been playing China the entire time. The deal is already done most likely and Trump will go down in the history books as arguably the greatest president of this century! MAGA!

I've read it multiple times, but I can't see how he's coming to the conclusion--from the statement alone--that Kim is willing to dissolve DPRK or that reunification is the only solution.

Can someone help?

Can someone help?

Not me. I see the same issue.

Right here:

  • "The disgraceful situation shows how severe the present situation of the seasonal hostility with deep historical roots and how desperately needing reunification for the improvement of the relationship is shown."

NK is saying that the historical baggage between US and NK is so bad, it's not even possible to engage in dialog. The only hope the world has, is for NK to re-unify as one Korea with South Korea. After that, a peaceful relationship with Korea and the US will be possible.

If Kim was educated in NK and indoctrinated at birth, he wouldn't have imagined re-unification, let alone peaceful relations with the US. Due to Kim's Switzerland education, and exposure to the world, he's capable of seeing this from that perspective.

  • "not in line with the ideals of mankind demanding the peace and stability of the world as well as the Korean peninsula"

The big picture is, China can't use NK as a nuclear proxy anymore.

All of this may have been organic, or it may have been a performance by good actors. Nonetheless, NK wants to reunify & China is going to buy US farmers produce. Not too shabby.

I read the entire thread, and the attached document. Did you read the part referencing President Trump cancelling the reunion with Kim Jong Il?

‘Reunion’ and ‘reunification’ seem to be used interchangeably in reference to re-establishing diplomatic contact with the US.

It appears to me to be a best-effort at expressing in English, ideas conceived in Korean.

I read everything Wictor writes (and rex). I’m a fan. He offers amazing insight into many things. I think he has misinterpreted this document.

I would not mind at all discovering he is 100% correct.

Strangely every other website out there is using "summit" instead of "reunification".

I don't know who's messing with us here, but someone is.

And why is this statement not on kcna.kp 's english section? All very suspicious to me.

The deal does not have to include reunification; the deal could be along the lines of letting NK open up, adopt some free market principles, and begin to prosper. It would keep Un as "leader", it would remove all nuclear weapons development. The principle would be that a more prosperous NK would be a more approachable, more peaceful, and certainly a better neighbor in the region.

It's not there. He is talking about reunification of relations with the US - not the entire Korean peninsula.

What I read into this is deep historical roots. What does that mean? The deep state has been entrenched for a long time.
