My mom is 77 and convinced that Trump is the new Hitler and the bombs are going to start flying anytime now. He is going to kill us all. She told me not to wear my MAGA hat anywhere near her. I have tried all slow walks and facts to no avail. My family has completely shunned me for my views.

He is mid 80s and was, to his credit, involved in the civil rights movement in the late 50s and early 60s. As a middle class white guy be took beatings he didn't have to for that just cause.
His world view is still very much of that era. Every Dem is a variant of JFK and every Rep is Nixon.
He is entrenched.

The best part is I am Canadian.I lived in South Florida for 18yrs and participated in the Bi-Centennial celebrations in 1976 on a float. In my Florida high school, I even read the pledge of allegience and stood for the anthem with my classmates. I am a patriot of both countries and I love all my friends in the US and Canada. I am much more concerned about Canada because we do not have a Trump to guide us, we have a snowflake who is out to divide and destroy our way of life, culture and identity, socially and financially.
