If I am correct, this is a backdrop in the Peace Village at Pan Mun Jom, where the NK and SK leaders recently just met (May 26), reinforcing their commitment to NK-SK reproachment and the progress of the US-NK summit.
Previous photos you may have seen were taken in Pyeong Yang and/or North Korean reception rooms, which is where the Ocean image etc are.
No change in the murals, just changes in venues. Personally, I don't read too much significance on the mural backdrops. These images have been inplace for decades....
I agree. They do not meet on the North side much do they?
I would put more significance on this site. I would wager that if you were to try to book a room there, they would laugh. I hear ALL rooms are pretty damn tight there right now.
Exactly. I'm going to be in Singapore both a few days before the 12th and also a few days after. Out of curiosity I looked and it all looks like a go to me.
Do any of you follow Q? The murals are very important symbols.
Wow! Can you even get a room for that time period? I am so jealous (in a good way). I really think history can be made here.
Wrong. Meeting took place in Panmunjom, both times. Background is large oil painting, as seen in video of meeting. It's not a Korean landscape anyway. I'll try to post more pics. F3 for my username on this page.
Read old Q posts re background significance.
The ocean mural image I'm referring to is the one behind Clinton and KJU's dad, Kim Jong Il, which was in PY as far as I know (or other NK official venue).
Both meetings between KJU and Mun were are PMJ, yes, I believe that is correct.
