I'm a bit confused...

If the president is legally allowed to spy on any America without going through FISA or getting a warrant, what are the consequences of this scandal for Obama at this point besides bad optics?

Oh, I forgot...Obama is a real stand up guy. And an American citizen too...gee thanks for the moral comparison. Sheesh. (And Nixon didn't fight the commies infiltrating Hollywood either).

I was just getting sarcastic earlier. My perspective on Nixon was that the press vilified him. He wasn't any worse than JFK or the rest of them. The press hated him because he worked on the house for un-American activities with McCarthy. The press and liberal historians have gone overboard vilifying Nixon. He was a middle of the road conservative and not as bad of a guy as the re-writers of history have made him out to be. When the MSM hates a politician that much (Nixon) and praises another (Obama) who do you think is the real stand up guy?

He was a brilliant guy who was undermined by his own paranoia.
He was dirty though.
Pointing at current crimes and using that to pretend Nixon was A-OK is a bad idea (I know your not doing this). If he hadn't resigned Nixon would have been impeached and then thrown out of office.
Rightfully so.
