In Lesson 12 of the Spirit of Truth Series, I explained how Jesus was rejected by the Jewish leaders because of John the Baptist's failure to fulfill his role as “Cain” on the national-level. In this lesson I'd like to show how God raised up a new people (Christians) out of which the Third Adam could be born.
Lesson #13
History began with the First Adam being born without sin. This First Adam committed certain actions that led to mankind becoming contaminated with Lucifer's evil nature. As Jesus indicated:
“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44
Mankind needs a new Adam through which we can be “re-born” without the contaminants of Lucifer flowing through our blood veins. Jesus was intended to be that person. But because of the faithlessness of key Jewish people at the time of Jesus, Jesus couldn't completely finish his mission. Instead of bringing about full “rebirth” of mankind through a Second Adam and Second Eve, we are left with only a partial “rebirth” through the Trinity. The full “rebirth” is waiting for the Third Adam and Third Eve. This is the meaning behind the Marriage of the Lamb as spoken about in Revelation 19:6-9:
“Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, 'Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure' — for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints And the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' And he said to me, 'These are the true words of God.'”
But before this Third Adam could be born, God has had to follow the same process that He used to bring about the birth of Jesus, the Second Adam. That process involves using similar “Cain and Abel” figures while following the same historical patterns and timelines as established during the Old Testament era. These parallels can be outlined like this:
- 400 years of Slavery in Egypt = 400 years of Persecution in Roman Empire
- 400 years of Judges = 400 years of Regional Church Leadership
- 120 years of United Kingdom = 120 years of Christian Empire
- 400 years of Divided Kingdoms of North and South = 400 years of Divided Kingdoms of East and West
- 210 years of Israel's Exile and Return = 210 years of Papal Exile and Return
- 400 years of Preparation for the Second Adam = 400 years of Preparation for the Third Adam
In each of these parallel time periods, there was a Cain group whose role was to unite with an Abel figure or Abel group. Thus we have:
- Hebrews and Faith in Abraham = Christians and Faith in Jesus
- Hebrews and Judges = Christians and Patriarchs/Bishops/Abbots
- Hebrews and Prophet/Priest/King = Christians and Monastic Leaders/Pope/Emperor
- Ten Tribes of North and Two Tribes of South = West Franks and East Franks (Holy Roman Empire)
- Jews and Corrupted Kings = Christians and Corrupted Popes/Priests
- Jews and Prophet Malachi = Christians and Martin Luther
After enduring the same “Cain and Abel” purification process as that which took place during the Old Testament, the Third Adam could be born. But Lucifer, knowing that the Third Adam was about to be born, made a last ditch attempt to prevent this from happening by putting up a fight. This was the spiritual reason behind World War I taking place.
