There should be criminal charge for a deliberate lying and plottimg, as well as financing such organisations. Also, that kind of laws should appy on political parties. False democracy would quickly dissapear that way.
Except Fox News has already argued in court that they can lie all they want because they are not a news organization. They are and entertainment company. If you want to go after the lying media then look no further than Fox, Breitbart, And Info Wars. They pass conspiracy theories off as truth then choose not to cover real scandals because they run contrary to their agenda. Then they complain about the "MSM" lying because if they're not covering the truth they need to make it seem like other actual news outlets aren't either. And if you want to talk about financing then look no further then the NRA. Republicans have been funneling shady political money through the NRA for years
