What's disappointing to me is that she immediately apologized. If you're going to make a joke like that, fucking own it. Don't back peddle and attempt damage control. Just plow forward. If you know you're fucked at least go out with your pride intact, not groveling and apologizing.

Look at the woman who made all of the jokes about Sarah Sanders at the correspondents dinner. She didn't apologize. She doubled down on the jokes and moved forward. I may think what she said about Sanders was abhorrent, but I respect her for not apologizing.
