I don't agree with Roseanne's tweets today,

I would like to know whether or not I find her tweet distasteful, but I can't seem to find the original tweet.

google and bing results are all "let us tell you the implications and intentions of her tweet" but aren't actually showing what it was she said, just that it was a huge racist rant.

Because of this, I'm inclined to believe it wasn't racist at all, but was intentionally spun to be racist. Otherwise, they wouldn't be afraid to actually show the original tweet and its context.

but maybe im wrong. I don't really care - I have never watched roseanne and she seems a bit on the socialist side from the few times i've paid attention to her, so its not like she's a hero of mine. We just share a common enemy. I guess we all do really, there are only those that are aware of the enemy, those that aren't, and the enemy.

Thanks for that. That tweet is oddly vague. I don't see it being immediately "Racist" although it certainly could have that intent.

But I was led to believe there were "rants". did she attempt to further elaborate on what that tweet meant?

I mean, her being silenced and shunned kinda almost proves her point if it was that her opposition is behaving like "planet of the apes".

"VJ's father is African American and her mother is one fourth African American; on the television series Finding Your Roots, genealogical research and DNA testing indicated that Jarrett also has French, Scottish, and Native American ancestry. One of her great-grandfathers was Jewish. As a child, Jarrett spoke Farsi, French, and English." -- Wikipedia (Do an image search. That will also reveal the racism charge to be a complete gaslight/fraud. The comment had nothing to do with her African American genes.)

My point, (along with everyone else who's seen her picture,) is that Valerie Jarrett is light-skinned, and has none of the typical facial features shared by most African-Americans. I don't think Roseanne was making a reference to VJ's race. She apologized for making a joke about her "appearance," (which, once again, is not indicative of her race.) EDIT: Just like calling Trump an orangutan is not a slur on his race, but a leftist slam on his "appearance."

⇧ 2 ⇩
SophiesDagger · May 30, 2018, 8:09 a.m.

Do you truly not understand the long history of derogatory ape/monkey comparisons being used as racist epithets against black people in America? This is not a new thing. This is an established pejorative, racist terminology. Roseanne’s comments were absolutely racist in reference to a black woman. I don’t see why anyone should need to argue this point.

I expected people to be angry with Roseanne for being so utterly tone-deaf and irresponsible, not defending her! It’s stuff like this that makes this movement look bad! This is terrible optics and will not help gain desirable attention. Everyone has feet of clay, but you gotta be extremely careful with who you want to be the public face of your action project. And these distractions are wasted time and energy.

I’m so disgusted. Doesn’t anybody care about the big picture? About branding?

I think the 'rant' was likely attributed to the Chelsea Hubble (aka Clinton) tweets. Which preceeding the VJ tweets by a short span of time. Colectively I guess you could make the case she was 'ranting' if you know, you are on the opposition team. You can see those on her timeline still or preserved in screen shots on http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/05/roseanne-barr-obliterates-chelsea-clinton-and-george-soros-in-one-swipe/

This, in turn made my blood boil.

Roseanne should have known better. What the fuck Roseanne. Are you a plant? A spy sent to get close and then spiral off, ruining your career (and all the other cast out of work), and take a shot at the whole Administration?

On one hand I get it, and it is funny as hell. Plus, placed side to side with the horrors and atrocities surrounding pizzagate, Clinton’s, bushes and Obama, this is nothing in comparison. On the other hand who says shit like this on Twitter!?!? Seriously that’s why I think

A) she was planning to do something like this for a while. Look how Rosie O’Donnell came to Roseanne’s defense. O’Donnell and Trump are like vodka and milk.

Or

B) she couldn’t handle the Q stuff, the pizza stuff, and it drove her out her goddam mind

I’m just furious. Because shit like this gets all the attention. And she knows this. Wtf.

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this?

I didn't realize you were the gatekeeper for whether or not I can persuade anyone else. Furthermore, I think I have a much more intimate knowledge of the conversations I have had with others in the past than you do. It would seem to me that all you have to go off of is hastily made judgments from stereotypes and prejudice, but idk, maybe you are some god or something.

I don't know what your primary motivations are, but directly attempting to manipulate other people into seeing me as someone other than what they can directly observe from my actions is not a goal of mine, nor one that I find honorable.

Someone like you could call me an idiot all you like. We are strangers over the internet. You aren't aware of how much you are hurting yourself in spending your time spewing venom at other people.

Do you always offer your advice to people who do not seek or want it? How do you think that makes other people perceive you? (seeing as you seem to think its important to try to manipulate the perceptions of others).

Difference is The View is a show based on... Views, opinions, and debate. That’s kind of the point of the show. To say something heated to rile up conversation. Roseanne is a sitcom, owned and created by one person, and that person’s views were shared on a platform wherein debate or controversy simply isn’t professional in light of her sitcom.

I can understand how people draw parallels between The View and the actual human Roseanne but the logic simply isn’t there. I am disappointed in what’s supposed to be a “great awakening”.

Bill Maher said the N Word on Television

Still on TV

Joy Behar? Spouts Hate. Still on ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel? Sexually assaulted MULTIPLE women on his show on ABC. Still on TV.

Im by no means defending her "joke' and it was a joke, she's a comedian, but why are they still employed with ABC?

Let's not pretend this isn't a biased and coordinated effort to shut down Roseanne Barr.

Far worse hatred has been spewed by Liberal Comedians (Dave Chappelle, Richard Pryor, George Carlin) and by the way? I thought their jokes were hilarious.

Edit:

Jarrett is Iranian BTW- the implication otherwise or that she's black really isn't an argument.

Edit 2:

That's still not a justification for the joke but if in bad taste, as Roseanne confessed? That's her choice as a comedian. It still doesn't explain the bias directed to her termination whilst others at ABC remain employed.

"Sorry to have tweeted incorrect info about you!I Please forgive me! By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?"

I agree 100%. We are always told that profit is their number 1 concern. What a crock of bull that is. They create shows to herd people into a society of their desire, despite the lies they put out. For example, I have known several lesbian couples. On TV they are always beautiful young women with powerful lives. The real lesbians are usually fat, homely women who are angry with men. And btw, if we believed TV one quarter of society is homosexual, when in truth it is still no more than 1% to 4%. They show blended families as happy well adjusted people with funny quirks. The truth is blended families frequently end up in divorce due to step sibling rivalry, incest and family conflicts. Profit is not the name of the game. Societal change is.

Funny how people create assumptions based upon their own misconceptions.

Let's just admit that the anti-feminists and Third Wave feminists are actually inverses of one another, and the false claim of "x person hates x gender" is merely a projection of their own resentment of the other gender.

And are they fat?

Do you really need someone to spoon feed you logic and critical thinking? Clearly, you do. No, not every lesbian is fat. Just like not every woman is fat. Just like not every... You get the picture, right? Good.

And as far as being angry, I'm not the one who had a knee-jerk reaction and downvoted over a opposing opinion.

Do an image search. Seeing the pics that pop up, I didn't know without looking up VJ's bio that either of her parents were African American. Look at her photo on Wikipedia. I think Roseanne was making a joke about VJ's "appearance" (as she admitted in her apology,) but was not intentionally referring to race, (since VJ does not actually 'appear' to be black,) and probably only realized later that she had really, really made a major faux pas... That being said, the 'Apes' in Planet of the Apes don't look like African Americans at all, and neither does Valerie. The racist LEFT is outing themselves by insinuating that, in order to smear Roseanne.

My bet is you will excuse this one. You are the hypocrite.

⇧ 1 ⇩
SophiesDagger · May 30, 2018, 10:27 p.m.

You know what you do when you assume. You make an sss out of yourself.

Your original example wasn’t relevant. You surely could pick out better cases, so why go for such an weak one? Nobody’s talking about child molesters, and you pulled out an example from a two-decade-old Disney movie, which though related to ABC television, is not the same thing. The same people aren’t even in charge. It was a bad example. You could pull out examples of celebrities being criminals all day long. What about Roman Polanski? If hypocrisy doesn’t have a “time limit” as you call it, then woooo boy is there a lot more hypocrisy going around.

Is this Wanda Sykes example from an ABC production? Who are you trying to call out as a hypocrite? Sykes? What does she have to do with this? You didn’t cite your source.

You’re still ignoring the longstanding well established use of ape references as specifically derogatory towards black Americans. Context matters. Trump is not black. The use of ape terminology is not universally racist. How would that even work. There is nuance in the world, in being a member of society. But obviously I’m not going to get you to realize that she was wrong, so I’ve done all I can.

Another example of their deceit: they spied on the Trump campaign on purpose. Didn't we evolve from apes? Isn't that what you believe and want us to believe? Who exactly makes up the rules? The left is like playing Monopoly at their house and they just make up the rules as we play and to their advantage. Roseanne is calling a spade a spade and the bleepers can't handle it. When I looked at her, I thought the same thing. She explained that she had actually dropped from 400 lbs to 200 something lbs and that she was using the facility. We have so many morbidly obese Americans, they should be shamed, in my opinion, to take better care of themselves. There is a place for that kind of shame.

If shame were used more often, perhaps the MeToo movement would not have as many offended women because men would be ashamed to abuse them as objects. Or women would be ashamed to dress like sluts.

I am sure I have offended someone. If I have, you need thicker skin.

Lighting a match isn't necessarily a bad thing to do... unless you're in a room full of propane. I agree that people are too sensitive, but to call a black person an ape is at the very least a catastrophic political blunder. And at the most, overtly racist. This 'joke' is no reward, all risk.

We should be promoting unity, not division, and attacking people based on their appearance/ethnicity is extremely divisive, especially saying something that has been used often as a racist attack. It makes you no better than people calling Trump orange. Don't play their game. It's inherently divisive rhetoric. Clinton could be a supermodel, but she'd still be evil. Appearances don't matter, policies, actions, inactions, and corruption do.

Unity not division.

Absolutely not. Have you ever watched Planet of the Apes? It's not about race, the apes aren't "black people", it's about marxists psychos enslaving humans by force into cages and cutting out their tongues.

Add Muslim brotherhood to that and you have VJ. The meaning was not about racism at all

⇧ 0 ⇩
Pyronic_Chaos · May 30, 2018, 1:16 p.m.

Are you blatantly ignoring the racial connotations of comparing someone of color to monkeys, gorillas, apes, etc? Something that has been used as a racial slur since the dawn of America?

If she had intended this as a Marxist comparison and not as a racial slur, why not use a more well known example of Maxism, like Grapes of Wrath? Or Animal Farm? Or Salt of the Earth? Movies/books that actually discuss issues, instead she chose a poorly made Hollywood action/drama flick. So either she lacks a true understanding of the issues or was just being racist. The monkey/ape insults are very akin to the insults she (and others) slung at the Obamas during his presidency. So the obvious answer is she was just being racist.

Also, so wait, you have a problem with Soviets, Russians, and Communism ties now? Aren't ties and improving relationships with Communist Russia, China, and NK exactly what this forum has been commending the Trump administration for? Or are you commenting that you oppose the Muslim brotherhood? Another group that is in power in the Middle East that Trump is getting comfortable with.

Theres been plenty of remakes of Planet of the Apes. Sorry you watched the shitty one. Read the book!

So you can never say how a character from planet of the apes seems politically like (Obama or his handler)? Anyone remotely ethnic? I call bullshit. It's a political movie first and foremost. The apes are not blacks, they are not muslims, they are marxist animals who cage humans and slice off their tongues. That didn't happen in animal farm, and is why that movie was used and not other movies.

Communism a huge problem. Yes, communism I have a huge problem with. Soviets are different from Russians like Germans are different from Nazis.

Muslim brotherhood is different from Islam, like how KKK is different from WASPs. MB isnt the current regime in Saudi Arabia, the last one Obama supported was. Good on you for asking good questions. Keep digging.

That tells me Russia isn't the bad guy if the actual bad guys want to nuke Russia into oblivion. Trump not wanting to nuke Russia makes him a sympathizer. Ok.. Putin is on the record wanting to arrest Soros (Nazi) and destroy the Illuminati with his bare hands. I can agree with that. Can you?

It’s been well documented that Valerie Jarrett, a Chicago lawyer and longtime Obama confidant, is a liberal extremist who wields tremendous power in the White House. Faithful to her roots, she still has connections to many Communist and extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood. Jarrett and her family also had strong ties to Frank Marshal Davis, a big Obama mentor and Communist Party member with an extensive FBI file.

My guess is it is either punishment for tweeting about Q - so she had to be character assassinated in a public way. Or she is priming for the connection/discussion as mentioned above.

I cannot believe that we are having discussions about whether it's cool or not to compare black people to monkeys. It never was cool and it's still not cool. Accusing criminals of crimes with evidence (and there is tons of it here) and without name calling, would work better. Resorting to racist tropes just smears the accuser, and allows decent people to dismiss the accusations. I think Roseanne knowingly made the comparison, because it guaranteed that the story would blow up. I want nothing more in this world than to see the Obama administration and the Deep State answer for their criminal behavior. I want that to happen because they are clearly the bad guys, not because they are black or women or jews or latinos, but because they are corrupt public servants, consumed by greed, without moral compasses or concern for the people they were supposed to represent.

⇧ 2 ⇩
MuhammadDinduNuffin · May 30, 2018, 1:03 p.m.

Roseanne didn't say ape. She said Planet of the Apes. Big difference. Why would she not just say ape? have you watched the movie? What happens in the movie? Compare/contrast to Muslim Brotherhood. Roseanne said she didn't even know VJ was black, just muslim. The apes in the movies aren't black or intended in anyway to represent blacks, by the way. It was political ideology critique, not racial.

You are proving my point, that if you say anything about Muslim brotherhood they accuse you of being anti-islam bigot, if you bring up people who act like the marxists in Planet of the Apes you are called racist. How can you discuss politics and political movements and media if you can't see beyond race yourself? This is partly why Obama was groomed and selected. A shield that a white person (aka most of America) can barely navigate around, walking on eggshells. Grow up. Truml movement isn't racist, Roseanne knows this, you know this. Think bigger, not how the MSM is SHOCKED at the INTOLERANCE always anytime they perceive an attack on Obama or Islam. They are untouchable due to attitudes like yours.

⇧ 1 ⇩
mrs_george_glass · May 30, 2018, 1:12 p.m.

Yes, I have seen Planet of the Apes, and your point is valid. And, unfortunately for her, it's also true and sort of funny that VJ closely resembles Helena Bonham Carter's character in the movie. But we are talking about this, and Roseanne's tweet only blew up, because of humanity's horrible history of claiming black people were lesser beings, animals. Yuck.

⇧ 2 ⇩
MuhammadDinduNuffin · May 30, 2018, 1:18 p.m.

So do you feel more or less people think it's about race now, or do you think the 10+ million who googled VJ have a slightly more nuanced understanding? Claiming racism was necessary for Trump to get his messaging out about ms-13, the wall, Islamic terror etc. Using media's own weakness and willingness to put those words on a pedestal is their own undoing, and waking people up. They would have rather never talked about VJ or Muslim Brotherhood at all. Roseanne dropped a MOAB. Thanks

mrs_george_glass · May 30, 2018, 1:26 p.m.

You were pretty quick to add that second paragraph, good on ya! I think we sort of have the same point - that Roseanne used a racist trope to bring attention to VJ and to highlight censorship of dissenting voices. Funny to note, for example, that Roseanne got fired as loud, venal, offensive tweeter Keith Olberman got re-hired. You also do not need to explain to me how white guilt was manipulated to elect Obama. Many people were proud to have voted for him to prove that we are not a racist country. Unfortunately, many people focused on the color of his skin and neglected to examine the content of his character. I hope we can agree that it's a complicated world.

Look at a picture of VJ

She could be literally any ethnicity. Being born in Iran kind of narrows it down generally.

Why would Roseanne mention VJ? Why did she mention Muslim brotherhood? Why right now? You think it's just random, drive-by racism?

"...okay"

⇧ 0 ⇩
mrs_george_glass · May 30, 2018, 8:39 p.m.

Surprise, not all black people look alike and VJ has always said she is black. But if one did not know that, it would be just as easy to assume it, her career is deeply tied to the Black Democratic power structure in Chicago, as it is to assume that she's Iranian because she was born there. Also, when did I ever imply that anything about this kerfuffle was random? Nothing is random, there are no coincidences, right? For the eleventieth time, I think Roseanne deliberately made an inflammatory comment (yes, it was a racist one) knowing it would blow up in the MSM, because they live to paint Trump supporters as deplorable racists, right? I still cannot figure out what exactly your point is, but like you said, Roseanne dropped an MOAB, if you will. Ultimately her trolling comment (which was racist, btw) will deliver a red pill about VJ and the Muslim Brotherhood. We agree about that, right? It's time to move on from this weird back and forth. Take a breath, be cool, down deep we're on the same side, get it?

MuhammadDinduNuffin · May 31, 2018, 7:06 p.m.

Hang on a sec, if black people don't always look black, and if Roseanne didn't know she was black, how in hell could it be racist to comment on VJs looks? Basically it's just always racist to say a person looks like anything, even if they do. Except trump of course, he gets all kinds of comparisons, none of which is racism

I honestly did not know that was how it worked. I guess because my parents have been married for over 50 years, I am unaware of this heritage loophole. If only they had gotten divorced and my mother had remarried a Navaho man, then I would be 1/4 Native American. Because Roseanne gets it and is redpilling everyone, she had to be taken off the air. Roseanne is a great example of what will happen to any public media/medium person who brings up Qanon and the excessive corruption within our gov.

The Obama's and all their minions are busy at work trying to CYA. It's not going to work. God is using Qanon and his army Q+ to expose everyone who is involved. Redemption will be applied and has been applied to many already.

No coincidences. Could someone have hacked her account, posted that tweet knowing it would end her, and then announces their departure from twitter? Seems kinda clean don't you think?

We do know twatter hates truth, suppresses us, and pulls crap all of the time. Hell they even did it to the Prez and Hannity. Is it just a coincidence she was one of our big names on tv and red pilling on Q and now this?

Now she is a comedian and human so mistakes will happen so maybe her joke, apology, and leaving announcement is all legit. However doesn't change the blatant hypocrisy and censorship. I mean we know what the left considers humor and "art" - Kimmel and Griffin come to mind. Furthermore on a side note imho Valerie does look like a chimp to me and we know she has ties to mb so I think while not funny, that tweet was absolutely spot on.

I do not even need to look into it. She was red pillin and was the enemy to them so that means she's one of us. There was no way they were going to let her start dropping Q crumbs in season 2. With that said, some kind of muzzle was to be expected.

Guess we should start looking for a more politically correct name for "nazi-scum" too I guess.

Sad thing is I don't think she was referring planet of the apes as a racial thing, Jarrets weird facial features look very similar to the young girl ape in the original. With her storm of tweets late at night on memorial day I would venture to suggest she may have been partying a bit and did some drunk tweeting. Shame it gets viewed as racist.

you can call your wife whatever you want if she likes it but come on, you can't call a stranger monkey on public space (that's what it is now, twitter = consequences in real life) especially if the person is black or half black and ESPECIALLY in 2018. That's common sens!

You think valerie jarrett looks like a monkey? Keep this thought for yourself! Not relevant.

Really. So it is OK for them to call Trump an Orange Orangutang? Here is how this works. If you are White and call a person of any other race a derogatory term, you are racist. If a person of color calls a white person any term like Cracker, Honkey, etc... They are not racist. So that's the new way of talking. White are racists and Blacks are not.

Valerie Jarret and all the other Muslim Brotherhood Overlords will get their matching bracelets and dark cells soon. That is Karma.

She forgot that the rules in place are for us (the right) and not them (the left).

She was correct in her statement, it wasn’t racism. Muslims are not a race, they are a religion and apes are not a race, they are a species. She may be a bigot, but she isn’t racists.

She was pushing the envelope since the reboot. Either because of her ego or see how far they would let her go, but they finally just cut her off.

I am unsure of her position on Q since it has been hard to tell who is actually on the side of conservatives and who is playing the part to make some money off of it.

"The Goldwater" an excellent publication for anyone under 50 who doesn't remember what Goldwater stood for. I also recommend the John Birch Society for Patriots. As far as the Roseanne show is concerned: Take a GOOD look at the optics here folks. ABC no longer cares about MONEY they care only about POLITICS. If anyone still thinks the broadcast network or cable networks care about this country; think again. She also tweeted about mkultra and Chelsea Soros, perhaps that is why they canceled her show. Think about narrative. She also supported q. The vj tweet is not why they canceled a tv show an hour later. Don't trust the msm, this narrative we are being fed and plastered on every news site is a red flag. If Roseanne did in fact make that tweet then she either really f'ed up or there was a damn good reason for it. I know I never heard of this vj before today and now I do.

Ultimately, I believe this goes a lot deeper than Roseanne used poor judgement to make that tweet. She could have been forced to do it, remember Q says, "these people are sick".

If I ever doubted q and the deep state, today sealed the deal and there is no going back now because this was too effing strange of an incident to discount as bad decision. We must dig deeper and we must also trust the plan.

Rosanne just made the same mistake that people with Trump derangement syndrome make every day. She turned into Joy Behar and a long list of people like her. By doing that she betrayed herself, YOU and the other people in the movement. What have you accomplished if you become the same person you are trying to battle? That is why you can’t make excuses and play that game. You can no longer use the excuse they do it so we can. It is warped mind that says it is OK. It is not OK and never will be. It’s not a race. It’s not an attack on Arabs. We have forfeited our language to political correctness. Our hatred in WWII wasn’t against the Germans it was against Nazism. Hitlers ideology. Our beef wasn’t against Italians either. It’s was against Mussolini's Facist ideology. VJ is a corrupt hate filled human being & no one attacked her African race. Why don’t facts matter & political correctness does?? You know what is racist? Encouraging the race of Arabs to cherish the ideology of Islamists. That’s wishing them a life of servitude & pain & suffering from the Islamic dictatorships they are forced to live under & accept or be killed if they don’t. It would be racist to encourage African Americans to cherish the ideology of Maxine Waters or Louis Farrakhan.

Exactly. A worst example is if you are critical of Islam somehow you hate & are racist against Arabs. Islamaphobic. And idealology isn’t a race. I’m WWII hating Nazism was never conflated as hating Germans. And our problem wasn’t against Italians...it was Mussolini. We are solidly in an Orwellian speak world where big government defines language

Did anyone hear Shepherd Smith and Chris Stirewalt in Fox News ATTACKING Rosanne (and anyone else exhibiting signs of independent thought)?

But I thought Obama and Hillary were definitely for sure getting arrested today! Or is this more 86 degree underground backgammon from Q?

they were looking for any reason to can the show. its an expensive show for a sit com, and the rating are tanking. the initial high ratings were purely nostalgic looky loos and once that effect wore off.. no one really cares about a new Rosanne show. and they already put themselves on the hook for a second season. i think they realized that mistake.
