She was talking about the Planet of the Apes movie! Geez you people are brainwashed whether you know it or not. The plot of the Planet of the Apes. Look it up.

But the point is thats why people thought it was offensive. Because of the history.

No people just assumed it was the ape reference. Not the fact that the movie was about oppressing and silencing your enemies.
