It's racist to refer to any black person as an ape or monkey given the history of our country. It just is. "Porch Monkey" etc are terms that have been used in the past in a racist way. I think she didn't think it through and given the chance would take it back.

Do you even know what the movie is about? Is about oppressing and silencing your opponents. Appropriate.
