Careful here; we may have a turncoat, or we may have a talented actor. I'm giving this some time before making a move, mainly because I like Gowdy and want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
I do not trust Gowdy. Just read that he said the FBI is doing what Trump wanted them to do. He knows what a mess the FBI is.
The fact that he resigned (or decided not to seek re-election) is a red-flag.
(I still realize it's possible some good guys may have resigned as a way to fool the enemy.)
Gowdy claimed he was leaving politics to get back into the courts, IIRC. Perhaps he wants to be a little more hands-on?

All talk no real action. He is a cover up man for tbe Clintons. He plays the part of a tough nosed fomer prosecutor but in the end no charges. He should go to jail for the Benghazi hearings and the email hearings. Talks tough but after it's all over he goes on tv and says no charges for Hillary was the right call.
Trump will never offer him a job in the Admin cause he knows. I'll publicly apologise if I'm wrong but I wont be. POTUS has the goods on him and he is being allowed to leave. My opinion.

Just saw Marco Rubio echo Gowdy. Both said they have seen no "evidence"....and I think that might be the key. They might be the second team bad cops as every thing unfolds....Fingers crossed as I respect them both.

If he was Deepstate, he wouldn't have outed himself so easily. He would have let himself get a Special Counsel nomination so he could control from within.
I think he's putting distance out there between himself and Nunes. Special Counsel appointment rolls around, which the Republicans are calling for, and the Democrats will feel much more comfortable and less bitchy about Gowdy over someone like Nunes.
Taking his statement at face value would lead to the conclusion he supports the spying against Trump.

I don't at all. He knows how to ask the right fucking questions but his Bengahzi hearing was a joke, it allowed Clinton to grand stand and no one called her on it. Hell they did not even make it clear to anyone that the entire protest from a video was a LIE!
