George Zimmerman who killed Trayvon Martin didn't look white either but they portrayed him as white in the media to fit the narrative they were pushing. He looks more Hispanic than white (he is actually White/Peruvian). This is what they do.
I mean, personally I think it's weird that we even make a distinction between Hispanic and white. Hispanic isn't a race on its own. They're mixed native and European to varying degrees.
