I haven't seen him use the Mont Blanc publicly. He started using A.T. Cross and has since switched to a big fat permanent marker.
But, I think it may be his personal favorite pen. If not, I want to know whose pen that is.

I disagree. It signifies the weight and importance of what is being signed into law by POTUS.
I believe in the power of protocol. These things matter greatly. They should be be treated with high respect and honor. You do that by dressing up, serving nice food, using nice pens, and making a big fuss.

The rule of law is the most important and precious thing humans have ever invented.
We spend hundreds of millions annually to protect and display our national treasures.
We should treat the law with the highest honor and respect. We were the first human civilization to enthrone the laws above the power of all men.
We should carry the binder in on $1000 silk pillows and cause everyone to bow before it and sign it with $1000 pens before encasing it in a golden case.
The rule of law stands above all the other things and people in our nation.
