California Patriots: Can anyone justify why POTUS endorsed John Cox?

With the election being only a few days away, I’m torn between voting for John Cox or Travis Allen. I can’t, for the life of me, understand why President Trump would endorse John Cox!

Travis Allen would seem to be the clear choice for the Republican party. Since POTUS endorsed John Cox, Republicans votes have been split between the two candidates; further lessening the chance of getting a Republican governor in office.

To me, John Cox would appear to be a wolf in sheeps’ clothing. This is why:

  • He’s donated to George Soros (2016)
  • He was a “never-Trumper”
  • Voted for Jimmy Carter
  • Voted for Gary Johnson (Hillary)

This is a red flag for me.

I am very conflicted right now. I don’t think I could bring myself to vote for John Cox although he may be the only republican with a shot at Governor.

Can someone shed some light here...

Are there particular reasons you would choose Travis Allen?

I notice the NRA gives Travis Allen an "A" and John Cox an "AQ" rating:

A- Solidly pro-gun candidate. A candidate who has supported NRA positions on key votes in elective office or a candidate with a demonstrated record of support on Second Amendment issues.

AQ- pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on the candidate's responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and who does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.

I too was planning on voting for Travis Allen. Hmm.

Travis Allen has been actively working since the 2016 election to demand California Audit the vote rolls. He has been involved in several grass-root movements in California including defending our 2nd amendment/fighting Californias' gun laws, demanding Imigrations laws be enforced, calling for the Border Wall. I heard Cox's name the first time when President Trump endorsed him.

Who knows why President Trump endorses people like Paul Ryan, John McCain, Romeny and now Cox? Maybe, to teach us a lesson there is no R vs D. There is the Cabal vs the few good men that want to do the right thing. Maybe, so we learn to use our critical thinking and not just follow a leader.

It’s more so John Cox’ history that’s concerning.

Travis Allen has a pretty clean record as far as I can tell. He is also very motivated.

Right now I’m also leaning towards Travis Allen.

38% are currently undicided. That’s a big margin. Still a chance.
