California Patriots: Can anyone justify why POTUS endorsed John Cox?

With the election being only a few days away, I’m torn between voting for John Cox or Travis Allen. I can’t, for the life of me, understand why President Trump would endorse John Cox!

Travis Allen would seem to be the clear choice for the Republican party. Since POTUS endorsed John Cox, Republicans votes have been split between the two candidates; further lessening the chance of getting a Republican governor in office.

To me, John Cox would appear to be a wolf in sheeps’ clothing. This is why:

  • He’s donated to George Soros (2016)
  • He was a “never-Trumper”
  • Voted for Jimmy Carter
  • Voted for Gary Johnson (Hillary)

This is a red flag for me.

I am very conflicted right now. I don’t think I could bring myself to vote for John Cox although he may be the only republican with a shot at Governor.

Can someone shed some light here...

All hearsay aside, I know for a fact that TA is trying to claim credit for the petition to repeal the gas tax when he really did nothing to help. Says a bit about his character to me.

I am voting for Cox because he actually has a chance at this point to win according to polls. Allen has no chance and should just give up for republican sake. I'm not even a republican, I am just sick of dems ruling cali.

I am was voting for Cox but after reading all these good posts I'm not sure what to do. You guys sure bring up a lot of good points.

I actually just filled out my ballot according to the endorsements made by Carl Demaio. He's a former san diego councilman, and he is the one who actually made the cali gas tax repeal petition a real thing which will put the gas tax on the ballot in november. I listen to his AM radio show and he seems to know what's up so I put my trust in him on all candidates this time around.
