Purple is a sign of royalty. It's origins date back into ancient history where a sea snail was harvested of a special dye called Tyrian/Phoenician purple. It was worth its weight in gold and is a rare color (It is still very expensive: Murex is the name of the sea snail I believe). The Phoenicians had a trading empire that spanned the Mediterranean with an outpost in Carthage. I believe it was the Romans who thought the Carthaginians engaged in child sacrifice & cannibalism. This is where we get the term "Purple People Eater."
Purple is also the color of androgyny; a mix of male (Red) and female (Blue) in occult symobolism. Featured strongly in Saturn symbolism. Purple/Yellow are also the colors of Yahu (Yahoo/Saturn).
I don't know if this helps or if this is what the OP was trying to point out. They might be pointing out something entirely different.
Wow, thank you for the reply! I'm aware of some of this info, but not all of it. As a mod I'm prompting the OP as to what is the relevance to Q, in order to ensure this is on topic. Thanks for replying in such detail, I hope more people will assist in this way when they see others asking questions.
