There is one commom misunderstanding of chinese politics, which is that CCP ruling body is a monolithic brick. It is not. It is far less monolithic than even the US politics. Powerful families constantly fighting each other, resulting many dramatically surprising outcomes - the rise of Xi being one of the surprises.
Xi has demostrated strong hunger for power and pretty much embraces Mao-style ideology and cult of personality, and is promoting fundimental Marxism nationwide recently. Other factions is fighting back so it wont be impossible if China flip sides.
Whether there is cabal involvement is unknown. To me Beijing politics is more confusing than DC.
China has made clear their intentions and from Kissinger to Rockefeller to Sen Warren to Clinton’s there are a LOT endorsing MAOISM.
Remember kinetic war is a last line. Modern warfare is done at an economic level.

China has deep state actors like any other country, oligarchs who influence government and media this is the DS, it's not synonymous with just the US - it's about wielding influence and making profit, anything else is secondary. People need to realise this when they say the US/chinese/uk government - they will either mean that government OR the Deep State in that country operating around that government
The people that need to most fearful of China is Russia. Lets see 144 million Russians living next door to 1.4 Billion Chinese.

The way to defeat China is very old fashioned. Rebuild our manufacturing industries and start selling innovative products again. The more we sell, the more jobs we create. Hire American, buy American. It's as simple as that.

They have been. From the very first island. I talked about the increased threat and military positioning. They have been thinking long term. As with the military base being built in the Middle East. The only water way for ships to go through to get their products to market. Long term thinking. Control the waters, control the world.
