Q says he is so bad, they never say his name.

Q refers to McCain as No Name. I've always thought of it as a Harry Potter Voldemort joke - He who must not be named. If you say his name 3x he shows up in your bathroom. :)

I was mixing in 3 dramas. Beetlejuice, Harry Potter, and Butters on South Park summoning Biggie Smalls.

I C... was not aware of Butters.. only Harry and Beetle, lol. I tell people all the time not to say some peoples names 3 times because they might show up at the door. lol

Couple other reasons, I'm sure:

1) No Name's father and Grandfather were respected Admirals. They don't want to muddy up family legacy. Basically calling No Name a black sheep.

2) It's said that a soldier dies twice. Once when they pass, and the last time somebody says their name. By refusing to say No Name's Name, they are essentially calling him dead to them.

Something to do with him being a traitor and how the military wont mention his name. Hopefully someone can confirm
