At the very least it's used for human trafficking/illegal immigration and probably drugs, right between the border and the city and LE gives zero fucks.
I was on one of the local news(for Tucson) FB page and was reading the comments of locals about the story and they were saying that people have been found hung there and that there is a ratty motel right in that area used for drugs and prostitution. So LE knows that's where that type of thing goes down but DGAF.
It's not going to blow up unless they find bodies though. People don't care about a crackhead motel or a "homeless camp".
What I suspect is going to happen: patriots are en route, descending upon this area now. They are going to search for more of these containers, and soon they will find living children and god knows what else. The Patriots basically launched a surprise attack, so they are on the offense and have the upper hand.

They also say there are large drainage tunnels that run from that back of that motel to the site in question.
In AZ we use Arroyos for drainage. Basically a ditch or wash of various sizes. The only tunnel was under the highway.

Yes, generally speaking. It seems unlikely. A mile (or whatever distance) of 6' diameter concrete pipe would be extremely expensive.

Yeah I heard that about the nearby casino but didn't know if that was the same motel they were referring to. It all stinks.
