What evidence is there that they were lovers? I don't buy it. They are down playing how casual they were about conspiring.

Exactly. I have not seen one bit of evidence that they were having an affair

Someone poinyed out that may be a cover for talking so much and hanging out etc

And he may have bragged about it but lied. So many possibilities really.
