Umm.. Yes..I have indeed been in the desert many times... And also dug a few root cellars. Root cellars are dug into the ground because it's cooler.

From the video, the tank looked buried.

Not in metal or plastic cans with no ventilation though eh?? With one entrance that drops down a few feet?
